Problem Statement
The trash, recycle and compost system at the San Francisco State University cafeteria is neither clear concise nor comprehensive enough for students to keep items properly separated.
The purpose of this study was to develop concise and efficient way to handle the discarding of food recycle and trash items properly.

Problem Statement
Problem: Organizing compost, trash , and recycle can be a cumbersome responsibility that doesn’t have to be a weekly burden.
Purpose Statement: The purpose of this study was to find a way to manage compost, garbage and recycle in a simple and unified way.
Sub topic: Concealing the smell of compost is an additional issue that some may find intrusive to the kitchen.
